MindEdge's Project Management Council includes experienced senior practitioners with years of relevant training, consulting, and project management experience. The Council ensures the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and relevance of MindEdge's Project Management courses, certifications, and processes.
Dan Picard (Chair). Dan is a Business Content Developer and Senior Editor at MindEdge, a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), and Project Management Professional (PMP®) with more than 15 years of continuous improvement expertise. Dan has worked on the Project Management Institute's A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) and developed training and publications covering Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, and quality improvement applications.
Laura S. Althoff. Laura Althoff is an independent change management consultant. She has spent her career enhancing organizational performance, leveraging capacity, and supporting transformation. Laura has extensive experience in coaching, change management, and Agile methodologies. Her creative problem-solving abilities, ease with uncertainty, and possibility thinking are reinforced by a career of building business partner relationships in diverse settings. She is committed to organizational missions that promote service, forge unexpected partnerships, and highlight the intersection of technology and connection. Laura holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. A trained mediator, licensed clinical social worker, and graduate of the Agile Coaching Institute, she is also a life-long choral singer.
Rich Maltzman. Rich, a Project Management Professional (PMP®), has been an engineer since 1978 and a PM and PMO manager since 1988 at a major telecom concern. In parallel, Rich has also consulted and taught at several major universities in the US and China. Rich has also professionally developed project management professional (PMP®) exam prep courseware, including exams and books, and contributed to the chapters on quality and risk in both the 4th and 5th Edition of PMI's PMBOK® Guide. Rich is recognized as a blogger, has written and presented papers at international conferences of PMI, and has co-authored several books, including Cleland Award winner Green Project Management.
Johanna Rothman. Johanna Rothman, known as the "Pragmatic Manager," helps leaders and teams see problems and resolve risks and manage their product development. Johanna is the author of more than ten books including Agile and Lean Program Management: Scaling Collaboration Across the Organization, Manage Your Project Portfolio: Increase Your Capacity and Finish More Projects, 2nd edition, and Manage It! Your Guide to Modern, Pragmatic Project Management. She writes articles for several magazines and sites and publishes an email newsletter, the Pragmatic Manager. Jim Stewart. With over twenty years of experience, Jim has managed numerous multi-million dollar international IT programs. At Genuity, Jim spearheaded the implementation of its $20M Virtual Private Network. At Lotus, he managed the international deployment of a Notes system for IBM partners. Translated into eleven languages, PartnerInfo was rolled out internationally to IBM's business partners. Since 2003, Jim has been engaged in consulting, training, and mentoring for organizations. A PMP® since 2001 and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) since 2013, he helps organizations incorporate best practices. He recently consulted to a financial services firm to help them set up a project management office.
